Through a shared interest in yoga and eastern philosophy with a yearning for the uplifting, romantic music of "the good old days", Friends of Merlin, the original mystical rock band was formed.

We decided not to play covers and only write our own material it was a courageous decision, well we think so now, and very soon the new songs started to flow. The first couple of years we were finding our feet and trying out a wide range of material on our audiences and often being pleasantly surprised at the favourable reaction.

Delivering powerful, inspirational messages with energy is the band's mantra, which has proved highly popular at many gigs, events and festivals over the years.
